How far do you travel?

Distance is no object and Pop Fiction will travel throughout the UK and abroad. Travel expenses will be added to our basic fee and accomodation expenses will be added for locations where we need to stay overnight.

How long can you play for?

Pop Fiction have over four hours of live music and can play for any amount of time up to this. Sets of 30mins, 45mins and 1 hour are available and can be played throughout your evening as required.

How will you dress?

We have a smart black and yellow costume as standard. Our singers also change costume between each set, keeping our look fresh but staying with the theme. Should you have specific dress requirements for your event we will be happy to discuss them with you.

Do you provide all your own equipment?

Yes, Pop Fiction is fully self-contained. All we need from you is a wall socket and we're away! We bring a 2000W PA system with two pairs of speakers (2 Carlsbro bass bins & 2 EV sx300 speakers). We also have additional equipment for helping us achieve and maintain a professional sound and to enable us to play music throughout the intervals. Alongside our sound equipment we also have a fully digital lighting rig and each song has it's own personal lighting program for maximum effect.

The only thing we don't bring with us is a stage, but if there isn't a stage at your venue, we are more than comfortable setting up and performing without one.

Do you provide interval music?

Yes. Pop Fiction have specially prepared CDs which we play while we are on our short breaks between sets. We also have set lighting programs for the intervals so the party can continue without us!

Alternatively, should you require a DJ in addition to the band, we would be able to recommend some excellent ones to you.

Would you be able to play a specific song request?

Yes. Pop Fiction are able to learn and play special requests in addition to their standard sets, subject to a suitable notice period and small additional fee. This is especially suitable for weddings where the bride & groom want a particular song played for their first dance.

How much do you charge?

Our minimum fee is £1200. This is for two hours of live performance in the London area and is fully inclusive of all expenses. Prices will increase respectively for longer performance times and travel expenses will be added for events outside the London area. Quotes are given on request and are treated on an individual basis.

What are your requirements?

All we ask is that a private room is provided for the band before and during the event, and that bottled water is available for the band during the evening.

We also require suitable parking near the performance venue for us to be able to bring in and take out our substantial amount of equipment easily.

Does the band have insurance?

Yes. Pop Fiction have a comprehensive insurance policy that protects against accidental damage or personal injury to any third party person(s).

Will we be able to come and see you play before we book?

Whenever it is possible we are more than happy for potential clients to come and see our live performances. We do occasionally perform at open events/charity functions and have also put on several events ourselves, so it is sometimes possible for you to see us at these. However, most of our performances are for private clients and are closed functions to which we never invite personal guests of our own. We hope you understand this need to respect our client's privacy.

We have made our website as comprehensive as possible to give all potential clients the best idea we can of the service you can expect to receive and have also included a number of sound clips to enable you to hear how we sound.

We've decided to book Pop Fiction. What happens next?

Once we have confirmed our availability for the date you require, Pop Fiction will send you out a contract. This will confirm all the details we have agreed to ensure we are meeting all your requirements.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. This is purely to secure the booking and give peace of mind to both parties. Once the deposit had been paid, Pop Fiction will not accept any other enquiries for that date. The deposit amount is usually 40%.

How secure will our booking be?

When the contract has been signed and returned with the deposit, the booking is completely secure. Pop Fiction have a 100% performance record!
